Waiting for your CPA Exam scores is one of the most nerve-wracking parts of the entire process. I built this page to give you the exact dates you need so you can stop guessing and start planning.
When I was taking the CPA Exam while working full time, I remember refreshing NASBA's website hundreds of times on score release day. I know what you are going through, and I want to make this easier for you.
Under the current CPA Exam structure, Core section scores (AUD, FAR, REG) are released on a rolling basis throughout the year, while Discipline section scores (BAR, ISC, TCP) are released quarterly since those exams are only administered in the first month of each quarter.
You must complete all four sections within 30 months of sitting your first section (some states allow up to 3 years).
Find your score release date below, or use the Score Finder tool to get your estimated date instantly.

CPA Exam Score Release FAQ
Your target release date depends on two things: when you sat for your CPA section, and when the AICPA receives your test data from Prometric. Prometric typically sends exam data files to the AICPA within 24 hours after you complete testing. If your data arrives after a cutoff date, your score rolls into the next release window.
Log into the NASBA website to access your scores. NASBA releases scores to your state board of accountancy, but not all boards use the online retrieval service. Check with your state board if you have trouble finding your scores.
The CPA Exam now consists of three Core sections (AUD, FAR, REG) that every candidate must pass, plus one Discipline section of your choice (BAR, ISC, or TCP). Core sections are available year-round with rolling score releases. Discipline sections are only offered in the first month of each quarter, and scores come out 6-10 weeks after the testing window closes.
Scores are typically released in the evening on the target score release date, Eastern Standard Time. NASBA does not guarantee a specific time. Many candidates report seeing scores appear between 7 PM and midnight EST. Refreshing the NASBA portal throughout the evening is common practice on score release day.
You must complete all four sections (three Core + one Discipline) within 30 months of sitting your first section. Some states extend this timeline to as long as three years. If a section credit expires, you will need to retake and pass that section again. Plan your testing schedule carefully to avoid losing credits.
You are not alone. Only about 20% of CPA candidates pass every section on the first try. If you fail, you can retake the section in the next available testing window (for Discipline sections) or at any time with continuous testing (for Core sections).
